Privacy policy

Last updated: August 10, 2026

At Ludāgora we take care of your personal data. This policy explains what data we collect, what we use it for, who we share it with, and what rights you have. By using the platform you accept this policy.

Ludāgora is a platform that connects people to buy, sell, and auction board games in Colombia. We do not receive, hold, or process money for transactions between users.

What data we collect

When you sign in with Facebook or with Google, we receive the following from your profile with that provider:

  • Your name.
  • Your email address.
  • Your profile picture.
  • Your user ID with that provider.

You can connect both to the same account, and either one then signs you in to it. We store which providers your account is connected to, and we email you whenever one is added to or removed from an account you already have. Facebook does not always give us an email address: when it doesn't, we ask you for one and confirm it with a code.

As you use the platform, we generate and store data of your own account, such as your bids, your auctions and listings, your game history (favorites and wishlist), your preferences, and, if you provide them, your contact details (for example, your WhatsApp number).

We also record basic technical data needed to run the service, such as your login session.

How we use your data

  • Create and maintain your account and authenticate you.
  • Show your listings and auctions, and let buyers and sellers get in touch.
  • Send you relevant notifications by email and WhatsApp (for example, an auction result or a wishlist match).
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the platform, and prevent fraud and abuse.

Who we share your data with

  • With the other party to a transaction: when a sale or auction is finalized, we reveal to the other party only what you chose to share in your profile: your phone number, your Facebook, or both, and your address only if you switched that on. You can change those choices at any time and they apply immediately, including to deals already open. You must share at least one contact method, and to publish or join a Swap-a-ton you must share your number.
  • Your phone number is your identity on the platform. We verify it by sending you a code over WhatsApp and keep it even if you choose not to share it, so we can respond to reports and prevent duplicate accounts. A verified number can only belong to one account. We never store the code itself.
  • Our emails contain no contact details. They tell you the other party can now be reached and link you into the app, where your preferences are applied at that moment.
  • With our admin team: authorized staff can see your contact details in order to moderate the platform and handle reports, regardless of your sharing preferences.
  • With service providers that help us operate the platform (for example, cloud hosting and the sending of emails and messages), which process the data only on our instructions.
  • When required by law or to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the platform.

We do not sell your personal data and do not share it with third parties for advertising.

Analytics and session recording

We use PostHog, a product-analytics provider, to understand how the platform is used and to detect errors. Their servers are in the United States, so this information is transferred there and is processed only on our instruction.

What we send them:

  • Usage events: the pages you visit and actions such as publishing a listing, bidding, or joining a Cambiatón — with context (listing type, price, city), never the content of your conversations.
  • Your account identifier, your name and your email, so those events can be related to your account.
  • Session recordings: a reconstruction of how the screen looked and where you clicked, to find usability problems.

What we never send them:

  • Your phone number or your address, or anyone else's. Every form field is masked before it leaves the browser, and a counterparty's contact details are excluded from recordings. The one deliberate exception is the game catalog search box, whose text is kept because it contains no personal data.
  • Your outstanding balance or any payment information.

If you would rather we did not record your activity, email us at contacto@ludagora.com and we will switch it off for your account.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is active or while it is needed to provide the service. When it is no longer needed, we delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.

Your rights

Under Colombia's Law 1581 of 2012 (habeas data), you have the right to know, update, correct, and delete your personal data, and to withdraw your consent to its processing. To exercise these rights, write to us at contacto@ludagora.com.

You can request deletion of your account and data at any time. See Data deletion for the step by step.

Security

We apply reasonable measures to protect your data. No system is completely secure, but we work to reduce the risks.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when necessary. The version in force will always be the one published on this page, along with its last-updated date.
